Parth Thakur

Parth Anil Thakur, born on September 20, 2002, in Alibaug, Raigad, Maharashtra, is a talented Kabaddi player representing Raigad District in the KMP YKS 2024 tournament. Currently residing in Pezari, Raigad for practice, Parth comes from a supportive family background with his father, Anil Thakur, engaged in business with Bajaj Finance, and his mother, Smita Thakur, being a dedicated housewife. Despite being the only child, Parth found his passion for Kabaddi in the 8th standard, initially drawn to tennis ball cricket before his friend Kamesh, who is also part of the team, introduced him to Kabaddi. Recognizing his potential, Parth swiftly transitioned into the sport, showcasing his prowess in local tournaments and earning accolades, fueling his belief in his Kabaddi journey. Specializing as a Right Raider, Parth's versatile skill set includes expertise in Dubki, Hand touch, toe touch, and ankle hold maneuvers. Guided by coaches Amir Dhumal and Anil Patil, he hones his craft at Shree Ganesh Divlang, Alibaug, Raigad, relentlessly striving to improve. Parth's admiration for Indian Kabaddi player Sachin Tanwar is evident, particularly inspired by his raiding skills and charismatic personality. Despite his dedication to Kabaddi, Parth also enjoys cricket, actively participating in local tournaments. Parth's career highlights include remarkable performances in tournaments such as Nagaon, Alibaug, where he clinched the title of the best player, and the Alibaug Premier League in Pezari in 2023, where he was honored as the Public Hero of the tournament, showcasing his growing stature in the sport. With aspirations to represent India and secure a spot in the Pro Kabaddi league, Parth's determination and passion for Kabaddi continue to drive him towards his goals.
