Ritu

Introducing Ritu, a formidable kabaddi player representing the Murthal Magnets in the JSG Women's Yuva Kabaddi Series 2024. Born on 1st October 2000 in Kalali, Haryana, Ritu continues to reside in her hometown. Hailing from an agricultural background, her father, Vijay Singh, works as a farmer, while her mother, Krishna, manages the household. Ritu is part of a closely-knit family with an elder sister, a younger sister, and a younger brother. Interestingly, her younger sister is actively involved in kabaddi and serves in the CISF. Ritu's kabaddi journey began at the age of 18, specializing as a Right Corner Defender. Known for her expertise in the Chain skill, Ritu has been under the guidance of Coach Vikas Sangwan, honing her skills at the Kalali Government Ground. Her admiration for kabaddi extends to Ajay Thakur, a player she regards highly for his exceptional gameplay. Currently pursuing her College Graduation degree, Ritu has completed her BA. She has actively represented her College, District, and State, and has even competed at the Nationals. One of her notable achievements includes participating in the National Games held in Goa in 2023, where her team secured a commendable second position. Ritu's favorite kabaddi skill is the Ankle Hold, showcasing her versatility on the kabaddi mat. While she is primarily focused on kabaddi, Ritu doesn't engage in any other sports currently. Looking towards the future, Ritu aspires to play for Team India, showcasing her dedication and ambition in the realm of women's kabaddi. With her strong defensive skills and commitment to the sport, Ritu stands as a promising player with the potential for greater accomplishments in her kabaddi career.
