Born on April 12, 2006, in the heart of Mau, Uttar Pradesh, Rashi Sriyastav brings tenacity and skill as a Right Cover Defender to the Periyar Panthers in the JSG Women's Yuva Kabaddi Series 2024. Hailing from a family with a dedicated ward boy father, Manoj Kumar Sriyastav, and a mother, Seema Sriyastav, in government service, Rashi is part of a dynamic family unit that includes an elder brother, Aman, and sister, Riya. Rashi's Kabaddi journey commenced at the age of 15, guided by the experienced Coach Jainualabdin at the Dr. Bheemrao Sports Stadium in Mau. With an innate flair for the Chain Tackle, Rashi showcases her prowess as a defender with strategic acumen on the Kabaddi mat. Drawing inspiration from Yogesh Dahiya, who has played in the Yuva Kabaddi Series and represents Dabang Delhi, Rashi admires Yogesh for his game, fitness, and mastery in holds like Backhold and Double Thighhold. Representing at various levels, including School, College, District, State, and Nationals, Rashi's career highlights include securing the third-place position in her first Nationals in Uttarakhand in 2021. Currently pursuing a College Graduation degree in BA, second year, Rashi aspires to play for Team India, envisioning a future where she contributes significantly to the national Kabaddi arena. Beyond the Kabaddi mat, Rashi's focus remains singularly on her education and Kabaddi aspirations. Her journey unfolds as a narrative of determination, family support, and a fervent desire to don the Indian jersey on the international stage.
