Representing the Periyar Panthers in the JSG Women's Yuva Kabaddi Series 2024, Jyoti's journey is marked by determination, resilience, and a passion for the game. Her father, Hargyan, may have passed away, but her mother, Urmila Devi, a skilled tailor and cosmetics shop owner, stands as a pillar of strength. Alongside her siblings, elder sister Sonam and younger brother Nitin, Jyoti has carved her niche as a dynamic Right Corner Defender. Jyoti's tryst with Kabaddi commenced at the age of 13, finding inspiration and guidance under the coaching of DS Balyan at the Jattari Aligarh Girls Team ground in Uttar Pradesh. Known for her signature move, the Running Hand Touch, Jyoti's skills reflect her agility and strategic prowess on the Kabaddi mat. Her admiration for the famous Kabaddi player Naveen Kumar, celebrated for his exceptional jump and presence in the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL), adds an extra layer of motivation to her game. Jyoti's journey in Kabaddi is studded with representations at various levels, from School to District, State, and Nationals, with a notable highlight at the Nationals in Jaipur during 23-24. Beyond Kabaddi, Jyoti's sporting prowess extends to Kho Kho, where she has participated at the Nationals, as well as an interest in Wrestling and Volleyball. Currently in the 12th standard, Jyoti aspires to don the Indian colors, harboring dreams of playing for Team India.
