In the heart of Pratapgad, Uttar Pradesh, Pris Prajapati, born on July 31, 1997, stands as a seasoned Left Raider, contributing to the legacy of the Periyar Panthers in the JSG Women's Yuva Kabaddi Series 2024. Raised in a nurturing environment by her father Devraj Prajapati, who dedicates his time at home, and her homemaker mother Chandravati Prajapati, Pris hails from a close-knit family with three elder sisters, Neelam, Poonam, Nisha, and an elder brother, Sandeep. Pris's introduction to Kabaddi came later in life, at the age of 22, but her initiation into the sport was influenced by her three elder sisters, all of whom used to play Kabaddi in the past. Under the guidance of Coach Jayprakash at Pratapgad Stadium, Pris refines her skills, specializing in the Hand Touch move, and draws inspiration from the renowned Raider, Pardeep Narwal, especially admiring his trademark dubki. Pris has made her mark in Kabaddi, representing at various levels, including District, State, and Nationals. A proud moment in her career includes an outstanding performance at the Pratapgad State Tournament in 2023. Beyond Kabaddi, Pris initially had a fondness for Athletics, particularly the 400 Hurdles, although she doesn't actively participate in it anymore. Balancing sports and academics, Pris is pursuing a College Graduation degree in B.A. and BPed. Her future aspirations include donning the national jersey at the Asian Games and, if women's Pro Kabaddi League becomes a reality, making her mark in that arena as well. Pris Prajapati's journey unfolds as a testament to the spirit of determination, familial support, and the pursuit of excellence in the world of Kabaddi.
