Furkana

In the quaint town of Bhanera Jat, Uttar Pradesh, the spirited Furkana was born on September 9, 2007, destined to become a force in Kabaddi. Proudly donning the colors of the Periyar Panthers in the JSG Women's Yuva Kabaddi Series 2024, Furkana's journey is nothing short of inspiring. Her father, Khursed, a Textile Trader, and her homemaker mother, Aabida, laid the foundation for her dreams. Amidst siblings Aasif, Rizvan, Afshana, and Ravina, Furkana discovered her love for Kabaddi at the age of 12. Under the mentorship of coach Ashish Nain from UP, Furkana refines her skills on the grounds of Mehersi Dayanand Gurukul Kanya Inter College. As a Left Raider, her standout attribute is her breathtaking Jump, a skill she shares with her favorite player, the renowned Pawan Sehrawat. Drawn to Pawan's legendary jump and inspired by his achievements at the Asian Games, Furkana aspires to emulate his success. Furkana's journey boasts representation at the Nationals, with a remarkable highlight in the School Tournament of 2023, where she accumulated an impressive 26 points, earning her the Best Raider Trophy. Balancing her sporting passion with academics, Furkana is pursuing a College Graduation degree in Home Science, currently in her first year. Her future aspiration is clear - to wear the jersey of Team India, a testament to her dedication and dreams in the world of Kabaddi. Furkana's narrative unfolds as a promising tale of resilience, familial support, and a burning desire to make a mark in the realm of Indian Kabaddi.
