Avantika Kumar

Avantika, born on August 22, 2006, in Muzaffarnagar, Uttar Pradesh, represents the Periyar Panthers in the JSG Women's Yuva Kabaddi Series 2024. Hailing from a farming family, she started her Kabaddi journey at the age of 14, positioning herself as a formidable Right Corner Defender. Avantika is known for her exceptional defensive skills, particularly her Dive technique, showcasing her commitment to the defensive aspect of the game. Her family includes her father Pankaj Kumar, mother Ajita, elder brother Vasu, and elder sister Vanshika. Despite having siblings, Avantika stands as the sole Kabaddi enthusiast in her family. Under the guidance of Coach Satendra, Avantika practices at Gurukul, Haryana, a recommendation from her coach. Her inspiration comes from Sakshi Sharma, a Left Corner player for Himachal Pradesh, known for her defensive prowess in dash and block techniques. Avantika has represented at various levels, including School, College, District, State, and Nationals, with a favorite skill on the mat being the Dive. Balancing sports and academics, she pursues a College Graduation degree in Physical Education (BPES), currently in her second year. While Avantika eagerly awaits defining moments in her career, her future aspiration is crystal clear - she dreams of representing Team India, fueled by her passion for Kabaddi. Avantika's journey in the JSG Women's Yuva Kabaddi Series 2024 is marked by dedication, defensive prowess, and a burning desire to make a mark on the national stage.
