Priyanka Kadyan

Born on February 2, 1995, in the serene town of Adampur Dadhi, Charki Dadri, Haryana, Priyanka Pilania Kadiyan emerges as a seasoned Left Cover Defender for the Murthal Magnets in the JSG Women's Yuva Kabaddi Series 2024. Priyanka's roots are grounded in a family with a strong military connection. Her father, Krishan Kumar, proudly served in the Indian Army, while her mother, Santosh Devi, dedicated herself to homemaking. Raised alongside an elder brother and an elder sister, Priyanka found inspiration in her siblings' shared love for kabaddi. Both her brother and sister were avid players, setting the stage for Priyanka's introduction to the sport. Born into a family with diverse roles, her father, a former serviceman, and her uncle, a zamindar, along with her school principal, collectively took on the role of coaches during her formative years. Priyanka's kabaddi journey commenced at the age of 13.5, with her prowess shining particularly as a Left Cover Defender, specializing in the art of the Thigh Hold. Her practice sessions unfold in the vibrant setting of Jhagirpur, where she refines her skills and prepares for the challenges on the kabaddi mat. With a robust educational background, Priyanka holds a Masters degree, currently pursuing MA in Hindi and MA in English. Her journey spans representations at the School, College, District, State, and Nationals levels. Notably, she has donned the national colors on the international stage a remarkable 14 times. Priyanka's favorite kabaddi skill is the Dive, a testament to her agility and strategic acumen on the mat. Outside of kabaddi, her interest extends to Shot Put. A defining moment in Priyanka's career was her participation in the Asian Games in 2023, held in China. Looking ahead, Priyanka aspires to play in the Women's Pro Kabaddi league and aims to clinch the prestigious Arjuna Award.
