Born on June 12, 2002, in Khasa-mahajan, Hisar, Sunita's story is a testament to grit, determination, and the pursuit of kabaddi excellence. Sunita's father, Sandeep, and mother, Manju Devi, toil as farmers, nurturing the land that sustains their family. With one younger brother and one younger sister, the household echoes with the camaraderie of siblings. Kabaddi, however, takes center stage in Sunita's journey, with her sister actively participating in the sport alongside her. Embarking on her kabaddi odyssey at the age of 17, Sunita quickly found her niche as a Right Raider, a position demanding precision and flair. Under the guidance of Coach Bhimsain, Sunita has mastered the "Hand Touch" – her signature move that leaves opponents scrambling to thwart her raids. The ITBP Center in Sonipat serves as the arena where Sunita hones her skills, perfecting the art of raiding and scoring crucial points for her team. Inspired by the prowess of Pooja Hathwal, an Asian Games player celebrated for her raiding finesse, Sunita aspires to emulate her success on the kabaddi mat. Sunita's journey is studded with representations at various levels, from school and college to district, state, and nationals. A significant career highlight includes securing the second position in the local tournament at Chuliana, Rohtak, showcasing her mettle as a rising kabaddi star. Currently pursuing a degree in Arts (BA - 3rd year), Sunita envisions a future adorned with the colors of Team India. Her unwavering commitment to the sport, coupled with her adept raiding skills, positions her as a key player to watch in the JSG Women's Yuva Kabaddi Series 2024.
