Mannat Singh Sumberia, born on February 5, 2002, in Udhampur, Jammu and Kashmir, is a rising star in the world of kabaddi. Growing up in a nurturing family, he drew inspiration from his supportive parents—his father, Mer Singh, works in the Public Health Engineering Department, while his mother, Kaushliya Devi, contributes through Self-Help Groups. With two younger sisters and a brother, Madhav, who shares his passion for kabaddi, the family thrives on unity and encouragement. Mannat's love for kabaddi sparked when he joined his school team at the age of 16. Under the mentorship of Ram Kumar, the dedicated coach of the Udhampur Kabaddi Club, he quickly developed his skills as a Left Cover Defender. Notably, his best move, the Thigh Hold, combined with his favorite skill, the front Block, has made him a formidable player on the mat. In the 2021-22 season, Mannat showcased his talent at the Inter University North Zone tournament, achieving an impressive seven tackle points for Jammu University. Now, he has his sights set on the Pro Kabaddi League, fueled by ambition and a deep love for the sport. With his journey just beginning, Mannat is determined to make his mark in kabaddi and inspire others along the way.
