Rohit Mawai

Meet Rohit Mawai, a spirited kabaddi player born on June 15, 2003, in the vibrant city of Faridabad. Rohit discovered his love for kabaddi at 17, thanks to the influence of his older cousins who played the sport. Growing up in a supportive family, he was nurtured by his mother, Komwati, and cherished the memories of his late father, Jasram, who always encouraged him to strive for greatness. With his elder sisters, Kavitha and Poonam, and younger brother, Mohit, cheering him on, Rohit's determination has only grown stronger. Currently training at the NM Kabaddi Academy in Tekhand, Rohit specializes as a Right Corner Defender, perfecting his skills under the watchful eye of his favorite player and coach, Nitin Mavi. One of his signature moves is the Thigh Hold, a testament to his dedication and hard work. Rohit has participated in significant events like the Junior Nationals in 2022 and the Federation Cup Junior in 2023. These experiences only fueled his ambition to improve. Rohit dreams of not only making a mark in kabaddi but also serving his country in the Indian Army. Balancing his aspirations for a rewarding career in defense while playing the sport he loves, he truly embodies the spirit of a young athlete on a noble path.
