Sanjay Rajendran

Sanjay AR, born on July 24, 2005, is a native of Tanjore, Tamil Nadu, and currently resides there. His father, Rajendar, cultivates wheat, while his mother, Amutha, takes care of their home. Sanjay has two elder brothers named Arun and Robin, neither of whom plays kabaddi. Sanjay embarked on his kabaddi journey at the age of 13, specializing as a Right Raider. He excels in techniques like Hand Release and Hand Touch. Under the guidance of coaches Ravichandran and Arvind, Sanjay practices diligently at SRM University. His favorite kabaddi player is Ajay Thakur, admired for his skills and ability to perform under pressure. Sanjay shares a connection with Thakur, as he wears a jersey similar to his idol's. Sanjay has represented his school and state in various tournaments, including Junior Nationals and Senior State Meet. Currently a student pursuing a BSc in Physical Education, Sanjay aspires to represent India in kabaddi. Notably, he is one of the few who prioritize national representation over participating in the Pro Kabaddi League. Described as passionate and determined, Sanjay dreams of donning the Indian jersey and making his country proud.
