Arun Kumar Arumugam

A Arun Kumar, born on February 24, 2002, hails from Karur, Tamil Nadu, and represents the N.A. Academy in the YKS TN Clubs 2024 tournament. Currently residing in Nallamuthupallyam, Karur, Arun Kumar's parents, Arumugam and Sushila, work as farmers. He has a younger brother named Ganapti, who also shares his passion for kabaddi. Arun Kumar embarked on his kabaddi journey at the age of 8, inspired by the senior players in his village. He predominantly plays as a Right Cover Defender and excels in blocking opponents. His cousin brother, Vicky, has been instrumental in motivating and training him. The Marist Higher Secondary School Ground serves as Arun Kumar's training location, where he hones his skills under the guidance of Vicky. His favorite kabaddi player is Sunil Kumar, known for his role as Right Cover in Jaipur Pink Panthers. Arun admires Sunil Kumar's coordination with the team and his exceptional skills. Arun Kumar has represented his team, the Palani Tuskers, in the YKS Monsoon Edition and has participated in the South Zone University Games in Trichy in 2022 and Mangalore in 2023. Apart from kabaddi, Arun Kumar has completed his Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree and aspires to play for Team India in the future. Despite being the captain of his team, Arun Kumar is described as very shy, with a slight difference in his eyes noted by the correspondent.
