Sandeep Singh, a promising Left Raider, hails from the serene city of Jammu in Jammu and Kashmir, where he was born on April 11, 2004. Growing up in a close-knit family, Sandeep has a supportive father, Rajendra Singh, a contractor, and a caring mother, Tarodevi, who is a homemaker. Together with his two younger sisters, Sandeep has always thrived in a lively household. His journey into kabaddi began at the tender age of 10 when he joined his school’s kabaddi team. Under the guidance of his coach, Ram Kumar, Sandeep honed his skills at a local ground, becoming particularly adept at his favorite move: the jump. Inspired by his idol, Pardeep Narwal, known for his brilliant dubki skills, Sandeep has always looked up to kabaddi legends for motivation. Sandeep has made impressive strides in his career, participating in the All India tournament in 2022 for Jammu University and competing at the national level in both under 14 and under 17 categories in 2017 and 2019. Recently, he showcased his talent in the YKS monsoon and winter editions in 2023. His aspirations are grand; he dreams of wearing the Indian jersey on the kabaddi field, representing his country through his passion and dedication. Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree in the Second Year Bachelor of Arts, Sandeep balances his academic commitments with his love for the sport, confidently aiming for a future packed with challenges and victories.
