Born on June 19, 2006, Vivek Kumar hails from the picturesque town of Amroha in Uttar Pradesh. Now living in Greater Noida, he has embarked on an exciting journey as a kabaddi player. At just fifteen years old, Vivek decided to follow his heart into this thrill-seeking sport. His dream has been fueled by not only his passion for competition but also the unwavering support from his family. Vivek is fortunate to have a close-knit family cheering him on. His father, Jitendra Kumar, works diligently as a farmer, while his mother, Yogesh Devi, manages the household. He is especially bonded with his older brother, Sachin, who trains alongside him at the JD Kabaddi Academy. Living together at the academy hostel, the brotherly bond grows stronger as they share the same aspirations. Under the expert guidance of coaches Jitendra Nagar and Yogesh Nagar since 2020, Vivek has honed his skills as a right cover defender. He takes particular pride in his blocking ability, often inspired by his role model, Sunil Malik, a renowned captain in the Pro Kabaddi League. Competing in prestigious events, including the All India University Games, stirs his ambition to play in the Pro Kabaddi League and represent India someday. With each training session, Vivek dreams of making his family proud while thrill-seeking in this dynamic sport.
