Nikhil Nagar

Nikhil, born on June 26, 2002, in Faridabad, Haryana, found his calling in kabaddi at just 14 years old. The excitement from watching the Pro Kabaddi League sparked a fire in him, leading him to join his local village team. This was the beginning of a journey that has shaped his life. Now residing in Delhi, Nikhil has been training at the Sri Balaji Kabaddi Academy for the past three years. Under the mentorship of coach Rotash Nagar, he has developed his skills, particularly excelling as a Right Corner Defender. Known for his remarkable ankle holds, he has quickly made a name for himself in the kabaddi world, securing a spot as one of the top five defenders in the Yuva Series and participating in the Senior Nationals in 2022. Nikhil comes from a supportive family. His father, Ravinder, works in transport, while his mother, Pushpa, is a dedicated housewife. He enjoys a close relationship with his younger sister, Anjali. Balancing his studies in a Bachelor of Arts program with training, he is determined to make an impact both on the mat and in the business world. With aspirations to shine in professional kabaddi, Nikhil draws inspiration from his favorite player, Maninder Singh, whose power and skill motivate him every day. He is excited about the journey ahead and continues to chase his dreams with passion.
