Shaurya Pratap Singh

Born on April 7, 2005, in the vibrant town of Mau, Uttar Pradesh, Shaurya Pratap Singh is a rising star in the world of kabaddi. Coming from a family where sports are celebrated, Shaurya's mother, Shimala Singh, a dedicated teacher, taught him the values of hard work and determination. Although his father, Surya Bahadur Singh, has passed away, his enduring memory serves as a guiding light in Shaurya's life. He isn’t alone in this journey; with two elder brothers, Prashant and Himanshu, supporting him, Shaurya has always felt motivated to push his limits. Shaurya's love for kabaddi ignited at just 10 years old as he watched thrilling tournaments in his village. That spark led him to train rigorously with coach Jitendra Nagar at JD Academy, where he quickly made a name for himself as a Left Corner Defender. With his remarkable skills in diving and ankle holds, he is steadily carving out his path in the sport. Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree, Shaurya is dedicated to balancing his studies with his kabaddi aspirations. He dreams big – aiming to represent Team India and secure a government job through the sports quota. With participation in state-level competitions and a stellar performance at the K7 tournament with Awadh Lions, Shaurya's enthusiasm mirrors that of his idol, Pawan Sehrawat. His journey has just begun, but with passion and perseverance, the future looks bright for this talented player.
