Born on October 31, 2002, in the lively town of Bapatla, Andhra Pradesh, Bolagani Naga Phanindra embodies the spirit of his home state. Now residing in Vijayawada, he balances his undergraduate studies in commerce with his passion for kabaddi. With a supportive family behind him—his father, Rameshwara Rao, working tirelessly as a farmer, and his mother, Roja, nurturing the household—Phanindra’s journey is enriched by their love. His introduction to kabaddi was serendipitous at age sixteen, largely influenced by his grandfather's legacy as a player. This connection inspired him to step onto the mat as a Left Raider, where he found his true passion. With a keen focus on perfecting his favorite skill, the hand touch, he trains rigorously at Sky Academy under the watchful eye of coach Srikanth. Influenced by the prowess of Rahul Choudhary, Phanindra aspires to mirror his idol’s knack for agility and strategic play. While he faced some setbacks at the Junior Nationals, his enthusiasm remains unwavering. Phanindra dreams of one day gracing the professional kabaddi league. With the same fervor for kabaddi ignited in his younger brother, Sai Manikanda, this shared passion not only strengthens their sibling bond but also fuels his determination to excel in the sport.
