Gursahib Singh, born on March 12, 2002, in the vibrant city of Amritsar, Punjab, has built a remarkable journey in the world of kabaddi. The son of Sardar Massa Singh, a farmer, and Manjit Kaur, a dedicated housewife, Gursahib grew up in a supportive household that encouraged his passion for sport. Inspired by the kabaddi players from his village, he stepped into the arena at the tender age of 12, determined to carve out his own path in a game that mesmerized him. Gursahib plays as a Right Corner Defender, a position where his skills truly shine. His favorite move, the Thigh Hold, has become his trademark, demonstrating both his strength and agility on the mat. Under the guidance of coach Ranjit Singh at the Harsha Singh Academy, he honed his abilities and participated in various competitions, including the Junior National tournaments, culminating in selection for senior camps. Despite the challenges, he remains optimistic, with dreams of showcasing his talent in the Pro Kabaddi League and representing India one day. Currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree, Gursahib blends his educational journey with his sporting dreams. With the unwavering support of his family, especially his elder brother Lovepreet, Gursahib is on a quest to make a mark in kabaddi that he hopes will inspire others.
