Meet Jitendra Raut, a passionate Kabaddi player hailing from Magurpani in the Nuapada District of Odisha. Born on January 30, 2003, Jitendra's journey into the realm of Kabaddi began at the tender age of twelve. His early inspiration stemmed from watching local tournaments and seeing his father, Chaman Lal Raut, who was not only a Physical Training Teacher but also a Kabaddi enthusiast. With the intoxicating spirit of the game buzzing around him, Jitendra eagerly stepped onto the mat. Currently pursuing his Bachelor of Arts in his third year, Jitendra balances his studies with his commitment to Kabaddi. He practices rigorously at the Sports Club in Magurpani, often donning his admiration for Pawan Sehrawat, whose iconic Flying Jump skill he aspires to emulate. In fact, Jitendra is so inspired by Pawan that he wears the same jersey number, 17. Jitendra's talent blossomed as he captained the Nuapada district team to victory in the State Championship and proudly represented Odisha at various national competitions. His aspirations are as lofty as his skills, as he dreams of excelling in the Yuva Kabaddi Series, breaking into the Pro Kabaddi League, and ultimately donning the colors of the Indian team. With his younger brother Hiten also making strides in the sport, the Raut family embodies the passion of kabaddi in every heartbeat.
