EaseMyTrip YKS Winter Edition 2023 Kabaddi Tournament: Highlights, Results, and Champions

City of Pondicherry once again made way for the Yuva Kabaddi Series, this time for the EaseMyTrip YKS Winter Edition 2023, the iconic 7th edition of YKS. 12 teams fought it out at the Rajiv Gandhi Indoor Stadium, Pondicherry.
Defending Champions Aravalli Arrows once again started off slow as they usually do, but this time they could not go all the way and settled a 4th position finish in the Edition.
Murthal Magnets were by far the 2nd the best team in the tournament but to everyones surprise, lost all matches to Palani Tuskers in the edition.
Palani Tuskers were unstoppable in the complete edition as they lost only 2 games in the whole series spread across 27 days.
The Tuskers were fondly known as The Rampaging Elephants, and they did everything to make justice to this name, dominated all teams including Murthal Magnets- the runner-up from the edition by beating them 5 times in the edition- most by any team in any edition of YKS.
The Grand Finale was nothing short of a intense humdinger of a encounter as both Palani Tuskers and Murthal Magnets did not give anything away, and the scores were tied at the end of 40 mins of play, the match went into a extra time and still there were nothing to separate the both teams, and for the first time in the history of YKS, a match went into a 5 raid format where Palani held their nerves to win the title of EaseMyTrip YKS Winter Edition 2023 and became a two time YKS Champions. Murthal Magnets had to face another heartbreak for 2nd time in a row, finishing as the Runner-Up of the edition similar to the previous edition at Madurai (Monsoon 23)
Rohit Rathee ended the tournament as the top raider of the edition with 218 raid points, showcasing impressive raiding skills. However, he was unable to lead his team to victory. Similarly, Sonu Rathee finished the tournament as the premier defender of the edition with 93 tackle points, making him the only defender in the history of YKS to secure two consecutive titles for the best defender of the tournament.
