Ankit Saharwa

Ankit was born on January 14, 2003, in the lively town of Hissar, Haryana. Growing up in a modest household, his father, Rohtash, worked as a carpenter, while his mother, Bimla Devi, devoted her time to home-making. Ankit shares a special bond with his younger sister, Arjoo. His journey into sports began at just ten years old when he watched the Pro Kabaddi League. That thrilling experience sparked a passion within him, and he soon decided to embark on his own kabaddi journey. Under the keen guidance of coach Mohit Hooda at Arjun Stadium in Jeend, Ankit developed his skills, firmly establishing himself as a formidable right raider. His signature move, the Dubki, impressively showcases his athleticism and confidence. In fact, he regards himself as his favorite player, a testament to his self-belief. In 2023, Ankit participated in the CARS24 Yuva Kabaddi Series Monsoon Edition and the EaseMyTrip Yuva Kabaddi Series Winter Edition with the Murthal Magnets, where he truly shone, earning the title of Best Raider. As he balances his kabaddi aspirations with his studies, Ankit is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Arts. His ultimate goal is to represent India on the kabaddi field while cherishing the dream of making his family proud. With his determination and passion, Ankit is paving his way toward greatness.
