G Sivasakthi, born on February 28, 1999, originates from Magudanchvadi, Salem, Tamil Nadu, where he currently resides. His father, P Govindan, and mother, Gomathi, are both weavers. Sivasakthi has an elder sister, G. Durga, who also plays kabaddi. Sivasakthi's journey in kabaddi began at the age of 10, inspired by his father who is a kabaddi player himself. Excelling as a Right Cover Defender, Sivasakthi's expertise lies in the skill of Dash. He receives training from Coach Samyappan at Samy Academy and practices at the Tamil Nadu Police grounds. His favorite kabaddi player is Naveen Kumar, whom he admires for his discipline on and off the field. Sivasakthi has represented various teams and tournaments, including the Palani Tuskers in the YKS Winter Edition'23, where they clinched the title. He also won a Bronze Medal at the 2019 Junior Nationals in Kolkata and participated in the 2023 All India Police Meet in Haryana. Apart from kabaddi, Sivasakthi enjoys playing volleyball and badminton. He has completed his graduation in BSc. Computer Science and currently works as a Constable at the Trichy Police. Despite his professional commitments, Sivasakthi aspires to play in the Pro Kabaddi League in the future. His career highlight includes winning the title at the Yuva Kabaddi Series Winter Edition'23 in Pondicherry. Described as a dedicated and disciplined player, Sivasakthi aims to achieve success both on the kabaddi mat and in his professional career.
