Parthasarathi Palanivel was born on April 16, 2003, in the beautiful town of Tanjore, Tamil Nadu. Growing up in a farming family, with his father Palanivel working the fields and his mother Dhanalakshmi managing the household, Parthasarathi had a humble yet inspiring upbringing. He shares a close bond with his younger brother, Purushottaman, who also has taken a liking to kabaddi. Parthasarathi's journey into kabaddi began at the age of 14, sparked by the exciting games played by local heroes from his village. This newfound passion led him to practice at Karpagam University in Coimbatore under the guidance of his coach, Govindaraj. Playing as a Right Raider, he quickly developed a reputation for his impressive hand touch skills. In fact, this is his favorite move, inspired by his idol, Ajay Thakur, who is renowned for the same technique. His hard work paid off when he was named the best player in the finals of the Karaikkal State Level match—a significant highlight in his young career. Currently, he is pursuing an undergraduate degree in Civil Engineering, aiming not just for excellence in sports but also aspiring to join the Indian Army one day. Parthasarathi's determination and dreams keep him motivated as he balances his studies and his passion for kabaddi.
