P. Sridhar

Sridhar P, born on March 13, 2005, in Okkanadu, Thanjavur, Tamil Nadu, comes from a humble background, with his father, Prabhakar P, working as a farmer, and his mother, Renuka P, managing the household. He shares his childhood with two elder sisters, Monica and Mounika, who do not play Kabaddi. Discovering his passion for Kabaddi in the sixth standard, Sridhar was drawn to the game by the spirited matches played in his village. As an All-Rounder, he thrives in both the Left Corner and Right Raider positions, showcasing remarkable skills in Jumping and executing precise Ankle Holds. Under the mentorship of coaches Viji and Sudan at Karpagam University in Coimbatore, Sridhar hones his Kabaddi prowess. He draws inspiration from his cousin, Ranjith, a local Kabaddi player known for his exceptional raiding techniques. Sridhar's early achievements include representing his district in 2020 and participating in the Sub-Junior State level competition in the same year. However, his most memorable moment came in 2022 when he led the Tiger Boys team in his village to victory by securing a Super 10 in a local tournament. Currently pursuing his third year of BSc in Computer Science, Sridhar harbors aspirations of joining the Police Department, driven by a desire to serve his community and make a difference. Outside of Kabaddi, he finds interest in Athletics, particularly favoring the Dive Touch technique. Sridhar's journey epitomizes dedication and perseverance, illustrating how a young enthusiast from a rural background can strive for excellence and aim for a brighter future.
