Paranjothi R, born on January 12, 2005, entered this world in Cuddalore, Tamil Nadu, to parents Ramamoorthy and Mangai, both dedicated farmers. Paranjothi has an elder brother named Kovarthanan, who also shares his passion for Kabaddi. At the age of 16, Paranjothi embarked on his Kabaddi journey, assuming the role of a Left Cover Defender. His dedication led him to Swamy Academy in Salem, Tamil Nadu, where he has resided for the past three years under the mentorship of coach Swamyappan. Paranjothi's favorite player, Jeeva Kumar, inspired him with his impeccable dash skill, driving him to perfect his own technique. Beyond Kabaddi, Paranjothi indulges in handball, showcasing his versatility in sports. Despite his multifaceted interests, Kabaddi remains his true passion. Paranjothi's achievements include clinching a bronze medal in Khelo India and representing the South Zone. Notably, he has been an integral part of the Academy team, demonstrating his commitment and skill on the Kabaddi mat. Having completed his B.Com degree in 2024, Paranjothi aspires to serve as a police officer, aiming to contribute positively to society.
