S. Balamurugan

In the YKS TN Clubs 2024 tournament, representing Karpagam University is Balamurugan S, born on November 9, 2001, in Pudukottai, Tamil Nadu, and currently residing in Trichy. His father, Sangilimuthu, works as a construction worker, while his mother, Kavitha S, is a housewife. Balamurugan has two younger brothers named Anburasan and Siva, both of whom also play Kabaddi. Balamurugan's journey in Kabaddi began during his 6th standard when he was inspired by seniors playing in his village. Since then, he has primarily played as a Right Raider, showcasing exceptional jumping skills on the mat. He receives coaching from Sathish Kumar and Govindraj, and he practices at Karpagam University in Coimbatore. His favorite Kabaddi player is Naveen Kumar, admired for his skillful gameplay. Apart from Kabaddi, Balamurugan enjoys playing cricket. He has represented Karpagam University in the South Zone University tournaments in 2022 and 2023. One of the memorable moments in Balamurugan's career was winning the final match against SRM University in Dindigul in 2023. This tournament holds special significance for him as both he and his team performed exceptionally well throughout the event. Currently pursuing his third year of B.Com, Balamurugan aspires to play for the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL) in the future, showcasing his dedication and ambition in the sport.
