Krishnan Ammasi, born on August 19, 2003, hails from Salem, Tamil Nadu, and currently resides in Vedikkaran Pudhur, Salem. His father, Ammasi, works as a Daily Wage Worker, while his mother, Kalaiselvi, is a Homemaker. Krishnan has an elder brother named Kesavan, who does not play kabaddi. Krishnan discovered his passion for kabaddi at the age of 15, influenced by the pervasive kabaddi culture in his village. Excelling as a Left Corner Defender, his signature move is the Ankle Hold. He receives coaching from Samyappan of Samy Academy and Manikkam from Giderkittu Kabaddi Club, Salem, and practices at Samy Academy. Fazel Atrachalli is Krishnan's favorite kabaddi player, whom he regards as the best Left Corner in the world. Krishnan has represented various teams in several tournaments, including the Junior Nationals in Uttarakhand in 2022, and the Junior State Meet in Mayaladudurai in the same year. He also played for the Sub-Junior State Team in Salem in 2014 and in Coimbatore in 2015. Outside of kabaddi, Krishnan enjoys playing volleyball and cricket. Currently pursuing his third year in BSc. Mathematics, Krishnan's career highlight includes winning the Junior State meet at Mayaladudurai in 2022. His future aspiration is to secure a government job as a Forester, which is equivalent to a Sub-Inspector in the police force. Krishnan is described as a dedicated and talented player with a clear vision for his future.
