In the YKS TN Clubs 2024 tournament, representing the Nellai Kings is S. Manikandan, born on May 9, 2004, in Panakudi, Tirunelveli, Tamil Nadu. Unfortunately, his father, Suyambulingam, passed away in an accident in 2018. His mother, Mala, works as a cook, specializing in dishes like biryani and murukku. Manikandan has two siblings: an elder brother named Hari Hara Sudan and a younger brother named Muthu Bharati. His younger brother actively plays Kabaddi in school and zonal matches. Manikandan began playing Kabaddi at the age of 15 after noticing the sport during a festival. He is an all-rounder, capable of playing in positions like left corner and left offense, with jumping being his best skill. He has been coached by Siva and practices at the Panakudi ground under his guidance. His favorite Kabaddi player is Sudhakar, whom he admires for his jumping skills. Manikandan's biggest representation so far is in the YKS tournament. Apart from Kabaddi, he enjoys playing volleyball for fun during breaks. Manikandan's education extends up to the 10th standard. His future aspirations include owning a house and representing the Pro Kabaddi League. He is described as very shy and reserved, and he became emotional when asked about his late father.
