Ganganath K was born on September 19, 2003, in Dharmapuri, Tamil Nadu, where he currently resides. His father, Krishnan, works as a driver, and his mother, Selvi, is a homemaker. Ganganath has an elder brother named Senthamil, although neither sibling shares his passion for kabaddi; Senthamil is an avid badminton player. Ganganath's journey in kabaddi began in 2019, sparked by his fascination with village tournaments. Despite lacking prior practice, he showcased his talent in one such tournament and embarked on his kabaddi journey as a Left Raider. Under the guidance of Coach Pyara Rammourthy at CPR Sports Trust, Ganganath honed his skills, excelling in the Handtouch technique. He admires players like Maninder Singh for their energy, power, and towering stature, drawing inspiration from their playing style. Besides kabaddi, Ganganath enjoys playing handball and badminton, having represented his school in the latter in 2018. Despite his sporting commitments, Ganganath remains dedicated to his education, pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Microbiology (B.Sc). His notable career highlight includes representing Jawaharlal Nehru University at the South Zone University competition in 2023, where his team emerged victorious. With aspirations of securing a government job and playing in the Pro Kabaddi League (PKL), Ganganath's future is filled with promise.
