Sanjai Vijayan

Sanjai, born on August 27, 2002, originates from Gobichettipalayam, Tamil Nadu. His father, Vijayan, earns his livelihood as a daily wage worker, while his mother, Baby, tends to their home. Sanjai has an elder brother named Damodharan, who does not partake in Kabaddi. Sanjai's Kabaddi journey commenced at the age of 15, assuming the role of a Left Cover Defender. Renowned for his mastery over the double thigh hold technique, he trains under the guidance of coach Somachandran at the AMKC Ground and his school ground. Sanjai draws inspiration from Naveen of the Anbu Thambi Club, particularly admiring his thigh hold technique. Beyond Kabaddi, Sanjai exhibits exceptional talent in basketball, distinguishing himself as an amazing player on the court. Though his representations are limited to district-level competitions, Sanjai's passion for the sport remains unwavering. His career highlights include encounters with players who left a lasting impression on him. Currently pursuing his Master's degree, set to complete in 2026, Sanjai aspires to serve as a Sub Inspector, driven by his desire to contribute positively to society. With a determined spirit and multifaceted talents, Sanjai is poised for success both in Kabaddi and basketball, striving to achieve greatness in his endeavors.
