Manikandan J

In the YKS TN Clubs 2024 tournament, representing the Alathankarai Club is J Manikandan. He was born on June 11, 1999, in Rajapalayam, Tamil Nadu, and currently resides in Meenakshi Puram, Virudhunagar, Tamil Nadu. His father, Jayakumar, is engaged in coconut tree farming, while his mother, Shanmugathai, is a housewife. J Manikandan has three elder brothers named Gopalakrishna, Vignesh, and Bhagyaraj, all of whom played Kabaddi together in the same team during festivals. He began playing Kabaddi in the 10th grade when his elder brother introduced him to the sport. His original playing position is a Right Raider, and his best skill is the hand touch. Ravi, his coach, taught him the basics of Kabaddi. J Manikandan practices with his club team. His favorite Kabaddi player is Maninder Singh, whom he admires for his strength and raiding abilities, especially in securing bonus points. J Manikandan has represented his team in various competitions, including the Junior Nationals, Khelo India, and South Zone Inter University tournaments. Apart from Kabaddi, he enjoys playing cricket as another sport. He has completed his education up to the 12th standard. Currently, he serves as a Constable Police. One of J Manikandan's career highlights includes reaching the semi-finals and performing well against Madras University in the South Zone University tournament in 2019. His future aspiration is to continue playing Kabaddi well and to lead a happy and peaceful life with his family and friends. He is described as a person with simple wishes who wants to enjoy life.
