Virendra Mandlik

Virendra Mandlik, born on March 6, 2007, in Shirner, Jalna, Maharashtra, embodies the spirit of determination and perseverance as a kabaddi player representing Jalna District in the KMP YKS 2024 tournament. Hailing from a family rooted in farming, with his father Arun Mandlik and mother Vandana Mandlik dedicated to agriculture, Virendra found his calling in kabaddi at the age of 15. Inspired by the kabaddi enthusiasts in his village, particularly drawn to the agility and skill of the players, Virendra embarked on his kabaddi journey as a Left Raider. His signature move, the toetouch, reflects his agility and strategic prowess on the kabaddi mat. Under the mentorship of coaches Ravindra Dhage and Dadaso Awad at the Baramati Sports Academy, Virendra has honed his skills and sharpened his instincts as a kabaddi player. His admiration for kabaddi player Akash Shinde, stemming from Shinde's remarkable skills and exceptional fitness level, serves as a constant source of motivation for Virendra. Despite his dedication to kabaddi, Virendra remains committed to his education, currently pursuing his studies in the Arts stream. Looking ahead, he harbors aspirations of securing a job in the Indian Railways, a testament to his ambition and desire to excel both on and off the kabaddi court. With his talent, determination, and unwavering focus, Virendra is poised to make significant strides in his kabaddi career while pursuing his dreams of a successful future.
