Sandeep Magar

Sandeep Pandurang Magar, born on September 9, 2004, hails from Wagholi, Dharashiv, Maharashtra, where he currently resides with his family. His father, Pandurang Magar, works as a farmer, while his mother, Asha Magar, is a dedicated homemaker. Sandeep has a younger sister named Pratiksha, who does not play kabaddi but shares a close bond with him. Sandeep's journey in kabaddi began during his 8th standard when he was inspired by his friend, Pradimanyu Deshpande, who excelled in the sport. Witnessing his friend's skills ignited Sandeep's interest in kabaddi, prompting him to join the sport. Excelling in the right raider position, Sandeep's signature move is the precise toe touch, which he executes with finesse on the kabaddi mat. Under the guidance of coach Amarnath Raut at Shiv Parvati Krida Pratishthan, Sandeep has honed his skills, with a particular admiration for kabaddi player Pardeep Narwal, known for his exceptional dubki skill. Sandeep's dedication to the sport has earned him recognition, representing his state in 2022 and competing in district-level tournaments in Dharashiv. Apart from kabaddi, Sandeep enjoys playing cricket and actively participates in other sports. Currently pursuing his Bachelor of Science degree, Sandeep is in his first year of college, balancing his academic pursuits with his passion for kabaddi. His career highlights include standout performances in local tournaments, where he showcased his talent with impressive super raids. With aspirations to secure a job in the police force, Sandeep aims to continue his kabaddi journey while pursuing his professional ambitions. His commitment to the sport and determination to succeed reflect his resilience and dedication to achieving his goals both on and off the kabaddi mat.
