Rajni Gulia

Born on June 4, 1997, in Silana, Sonipat, Haryana, Rajni emerges as a stalwart Right Corner Defender for the Aravalli Arrows in the JSG Women's Yuva Kabaddi Series 2024. Currently stationed in Jaipur, Rajasthan, she epitomizes resilience and determination both on and off the kabaddi mat. Rajni's roots lie in a humble agricultural family, with her father Ramphal tending to the fields and her mother Babita managing the household affairs. Growing up alongside her two younger brothers, Mohit and Sohit, Rajni found her passion for kabaddi at an early age. Her journey into the world of kabaddi commenced during her 8th standard, fueled by her love for cricket and the guidance of her school's physical education teacher, Jyoti. In the absence of professional coaching facilities, Rajni and her peers sought training opportunities under the tutelage of local coaches like Rohtas in Sisana. Renowned for her adeptness in the Sleep Skill, Handtouch, and Bonus techniques, Rajni attributes her development to the mentorship of Shalini Pathak, a revered figure in the Rajasthan Police kabaddi circles. For Rajni, Anup Kumar stands as a paragon of kabaddi excellence, admired for his strategic acumen and deft maneuvers on the mat. Inspired by his mastery, Rajni aspires to emulate his finesse in her own gameplay. Her illustrious career boasts representations at various levels, including school, college, district, state, and national tournaments. Notable achievements include clinching the Silver at the Senior National Championships in 2015 and securing the Bronze at the 2018 All India University Championships. With a Bachelor's degree in Physical Education (B.P.Ed) and a position as a Sub-Inspector in the Rajasthan Police, Rajni envisions donning the Indian jersey, aiming to represent her country at the highest echelons of international kabaddi.
