M. Vivek

Vivek M was born on January 20, 2000, in Nathamangudi, Trichy, Tamil Nadu, where he currently resides. His father, Mathiyazhagan, works as a farmer, and his mother, Thenmozhi, manages their household. He has one elder sister named Ragavi, who does not play kabaddi. Vivek started playing kabaddi at the age of 7 and typically plays as a Right Cover Defender, specializing in the Dash skill. He is coached by Mathiyazhagan and practices at the Sports Authority of India (SAI) center in Chennai. His favorite kabaddi player is Jiva Kumar, whom he admires for his defensive prowess, particularly his Ankle Hold technique. Apart from kabaddi, Vivek enjoys playing volleyball as another sport. In terms of education, Vivek is pursuing a Master's degree in MBA Hospital Health Management, currently in his second year of study. He has had notable achievements in his kabaddi career, such as winning the YKS Winter Edition 2023 with the Palani Tuskers and securing the 3rd position at the Khelo India Games in Orissa in 2022. One memorable moment in his career was during a State Level Match in 2021, where Vivek made the winning raid for his team, leaving a lasting impact. Looking ahead, Vivek aspires to play in the Pro Kabaddi League and represent Team India. He is also taking on the role of captain for his team, showing leadership qualities.
