In the heart of Bhadravati, Karnataka, a young kabaddi player named Someshwara Darshan was born in 2001. Growing up in a supportive family with his father Yogesh, a laborer, and his mother Latha, a dedicated homemaker, he has always cherished the quiet moments at home with his younger sister, Yogeshwari. Darshan's kabaddi journey began at the age of 17, ignited by encouragement from his physical education teacher. His passion quickly flourished under the watchful eye of his childhood coach, Jayaprakash. Playing as a Left Raider, he has a particular flair for the Running Hand Touch and Bonus techniques, which he has honed over his years of practice. Inspired by kabaddi legend Ajay Thakur, Darshan immerses himself in perfecting his skills, dreaming of escape moves and swift touches that will dazzle on the mat. He has past experience from participating in 70th Senior Nationals representing Karnataka and also playing multiple editions of the Yuva Kabaddi Series. He has a diploma in electrical and electronics. He aims to play the Pro Kabaddi League and represent India, where he hopes to leave his mark.
