Prasanth Raman

Prasanth R was born on June 4, 2001, in Tirupathur, Tamil Nadu. Currently residing in Jolarpett, Tamil Nadu, he hails from a family where his late father, Raman A, was the primary breadwinner, and his mother, Kavitha, works as a daily wage laborer. Prasanth has an elder brother, Vishnu R, who used to play kabaddi but now works. Inspired by his brother, Prasanth started playing kabaddi at the age of 14. He excels as a Right Corner Defender, specializing in techniques like the Ankle Hold and Chain Tackle. Under the mentorship of Madhan Kumar, the Founder and Coach of PK Sports, Prasanth trains diligently at the PK Sports facility. Prasanth admires Sachin, a former All India University player who now serves in the Tamil Nadu Police Department, for his exemplary conduct and kabaddi skills. Throughout his career, Prasanth has represented his district and university teams with distinction. His career highlight includes winning the South Zone University championship in Viluppuram. Currently pursuing a dual degree in BBA and BPed, Prasanth aspires to compete in the Pro Kabaddi league and represent the Indian Kabaddi team. Additionally, he harbors a desire to secure a job in the Postal Department to have the opportunity to play alongside C. Ranjith, a renowned Pro Kabaddi player.
