Meet Anurag, a passionate young kabaddi player from Delhi who is carving out his path in this vibrant sport. Born on June 8, 2007, Anurag has had a love for sports since childhood. Although he grew up in Delhi NCR, he now resides in Jhajjar to sharpen his kabaddi skills. His father, Omvir, holds down a government job, while his mother, Pooja, lovingly manages their home. With an elder sister, Tannu, cheering him on, Anurag takes pride in chasing his dreams, even if she doesn't share his passion for kabaddi. Anurag's kabaddi journey kicked off at 13 when he played his first match in his village. Nowadays, he takes on the role of a Right Cover Defender, shining particularly in his favorite skill, the Dash. His coach, Ravinder Nada, praises his dedication, and the energy at the practice ground in Ahri keeps his enthusiasm burning bright. Anurag draws inspiration from the impressive Surender Nada, pushing himself to improve day by day. Balancing his Bachelor of Arts studies with kabaddi practice, Anurag has represented his university in games, a feat he holds dear. With dreams of wearing the national jersey and playing for India, there's no doubt that Anurag's unwavering spirit and hard work will lead him to success in the future.
