Saran Murugan

Saran, born on May 9, 2002, in Cuddalore, Tamil Nadu, is a rising Kabaddi talent hailing from a humble background. Residing in his hometown, Saran continues to pursue his passion for Kabaddi while embarking on his academic journey. His father, Murugan, balances his roles as a farmer and a company employee, ensuring the family's well-being, while his mother, Jayalakshmi, manages their household with care. Saran's siblings, Sugan and Nivetha, offer familial support, with Sugan sharing his love for Kabaddi. Introduced to the sport at the age of 15, Saran quickly found his footing as a skilled Left Cover Defender, adept at executing swift Running Dashes to outmaneuver opponents on the mat. Under the tutelage of Thangakrishnan, a distinguished coach from the Tamil Thalaivas Academy and a former player of AZ Club, Saran refines his techniques, drawing inspiration from his favorite player, C Arun.
