Monu, born on March 10, 2004, in Sadulpur, Churu, is a young kabaddi player. Growing up in a humble farming family with his parents, Jagdish Prasad and Suman, he discovered his passion for kabaddi at the age of 16. What began as a fun activity gradually evolved into a thrilling pursuit as he started recognizing his talent on the field. His path in this sport has truly been shaped under the watchful eye of Naresh Puniya at the Eagle Sports Academy in Bhiwani. As a left corner defender, Monu has honed his skills, particularly excelling with the dash move. Participating in YKS Summer Edition 2023 with the Periyar Panthers and YKS Monsoon Edition 2023 with the Aravalli Arrows, he has shown unwavering commitment to the game. One of his proud moments came when he secured a silver medal for Rajasthan at the Junior Nationals in Hyderabad in 2024. Monu draws inspiration from his favorite player, Surinder Nada, especially admiring the ankle hold technique. Balancing his sports life with his education, he is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Arts and aspires to secure a government job through his sporting achievements. With his heart set on future challenges, Monu is eager to see where this journey takes him next.
