Manikandan Nesamani

Born on January 8, 2004, in Thoothukoodi, Tamil Nadu, Manikandan Nesamani hails from a coastal town where his father, S Nesamani, works at the harbor, handling ships, while his mother, Vijayalakshmi, manages their home. He shares his journey with an elder brother, Tamilselvan, who initiated him into the world of Kabaddi. At the age of 12, under his brother's guidance, Manikandan embarked on his Kabaddi journey, finding his place as a formidable Right Cover Defender. His mastery lies in executing precise Frontal Blocks, disrupting opponents' raiding attempts with finesse. Rajamani, his first coach from the village, instilled in him the fundamentals of the sport, laying the foundation for his future endeavors. Further refining his skills, Manikandan finds himself training with Yuva Paltan in Mumbai, honing his craft alongside aspiring Kabaddi enthusiasts.
