Avdhut Sandip Patole, born on July 18, 2000, in Ichalkaranji, Kolhapur, Maharashtra, is a kabaddi player representing the Kolhapur team in the KMP YKS 2024 tournament. Currently, he is located at the Kabaddi Rao Academy in Kolhapur to further train in kabaddi. His father, Sandip Patole, is a farmer, and his mother, Swati, is a homemaker. Avdhut started playing kabaddi at the age of 10, driven by his interest in the sport and the influence of those around him who played. Avdhut's preferred position on the kabaddi court is the Right Cover Defender, where he excels with his best skill, the Thigh Hold. Under the guidance of his coach, Ramesh Bhendigiri, Avdhut refines his techniques at the Kabaddi Rao Academy in Kolhapur. He admires Maninder Singh for his excellent raiding skills, particularly appreciating his proficiency in securing bonus points. In addition to kabaddi, Avdhut enjoys playing cricket. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in the second year of B.A. His career highlights include his remarkable performance in the Inter-Zone University Games held in Satara in 2023, where he showcased exceptional skills despite sustaining an injury during the zonal stage, making a swift recovery within 10 days. Avdhut aspires to compete in the Pro Kabaddi League and represent Team India in international competitions in the future.
