Jatin Prashant Vinde, born on June 11, 2001, in Mumbai, Maharashtra, and currently residing in Mahim, Mumbai, is a promising kabaddi player representing Mumbai Shahar in the KMP YKS 2024 tournament. Despite facing financial constraints and having parents in humble occupations - his father Prashant Kamalakar Vinde works as a security guard, while his mother Pramila Kamalakar Vinde sells fish - Jatin has pursued his passion for kabaddi with determination. Growing up with a younger brother, Jagrut Prashant Vinde, who doesn't play kabaddi, Jatin's journey into the sport began during the lockdown period. Although he had been fond of watching kabaddi since childhood, it wasn't until the lockdown when he didn't clear the Common Entrance Test (CET) that he decided to pursue kabaddi seriously. With the support of friends and mentors, Jatin ventured into the world of kabaddi, focusing primarily on the position of Left Raider. Jatin's skills on the mat include impressive hand touches and bonus points, making him a valuable asset to his team. Under the guidance of coaches Gurunath Morajkar and Vishal Redij at Shivneri Seva Mandal in Dadar, Jatin continues to refine his techniques and strategies. His favorite players, Nitin Madne and Aslam Inamdar, inspire him with their remarkable skills, particularly in bonus points and escaping maneuvers. Besides kabaddi, Jatin enjoys playing chess and actively participates in other sports. Although Jatin's career highlights include winning gold in the Senior State tournament with Mumbai Shahar in 2023, his most memorable moment came in a local tournament quarter-final match against SSG Club in 2024. Despite trailing by several points in the final minutes, Jatin's relentless raids turned the game around, leading his team to victory. Looking ahead, Jatin aspires to build a career in kabaddi and represent India on the international stage. With his perseverance and talent, Jatin aims to make a significant impact in the world of kabaddi and fulfill his dreams of sporting success.
