Jay Bagal, born on October 21, 2003, in Mumbai, Maharashtra, is a talented kabaddi player representing Mumbai Shahar in the KMP YKS 2024 tournament. Born into a family where his father, Vikrant, serves as an ASI in the Mumbai Police, and his mother, Smita, manages her own driving school, Jay has pursued his passion for kabaddi from a young age. Starting his kabaddi journey at the age of 8, Jay found inspiration within his family, particularly from his elder brother, Yash, who also plays kabaddi. Under the guidance of coaches Ramchandra Jadhav and Krishna Jadhav at the Sunil Sports Club in Currey Road, Mumbai, Jay has honed his skills further, with a particular fondness for the blocking technique. His favorite player, Vishal Mane, serves as a source of inspiration for Jay due to their shared position and Vishal's impressive gameplay. Apart from kabaddi, Jay doesn't engage in other sports but focuses on his education alongside his kabaddi pursuits. He has represented Mumbai in various tournaments, including the Junior District matches in 2018 and the KMP YKS tournament in 2023. His career highlight includes playing in the Yuva Kabaddi Series in 2023.
