Avishkar Shashikant Palkar, born on December 5, 2002, in Devrukh, Ratnagiri, Maharashtra, currently resides in Vigravli, Ratnagiri. Coming from a supportive family background, with his father Shashikant managing a shop and his mother Suvarna tending to the household, Avishkar found his passion for kabaddi at the age of 13. Initially taking up the sport as a pastime, Avishkar soon discovered his talent for the game, particularly excelling as a Left Cover Defender. Under the guidance of coach Santosh Damushety at the Soljai Devrukh Mandal, Avishkar honed his skills, with his best attribute being his impeccable blocking technique. Inspired by the speed and agility of kabaddi stalwart Aslam Inamdar, who represented Puneri Paltan, Avishkar aspires to emulate his hero's success. Avishkar's dedication to the sport has led to notable achievements, including representing Maharashtra in the Junior State Championships in 2020, where his team secured a silver medal. Additionally, he participated in the School Nationals held in Nashik in 2021 and showcased his prowess in the KMP YKS tournament in 2023. Outside of kabaddi, Avishkar is focused on his education, currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Arts. His career highlights include a remarkable performance at the Taluk Games in 2022, where he emerged as a top scorer and earned rewards in the form of a Home Theatre and a mobile phone.
