Prasanna Raghunath Patil, born on November 20, 2003, in Sangli, Maharashtra, is a promising kabaddi player with a steadfast determination to excel in the sport. Despite facing personal loss with the passing of his father, Raghunath, Prasanna draws strength from his family, including his mother Ranjana, elder brother Sujan, and elder sister Harshada. Prasanna's journey in kabaddi began at the age of 16, fueled by his innate passion for the sport since childhood. Specializing as a Right Cover Defender, he has developed a formidable skill set, with his signature move being the Block. Under the mentorship of experienced players Vijay Patil and Omkar Swami at the Yuvak Maratha in Sangliwadi, Prasanna has honed his abilities and emerged as a reliable asset to his team. Inspired by the playing style of Vishal Mane from UMumba, who shares the same position as him, Prasanna admires Mane's skill and strives to emulate his success on the kabaddi court. Despite encountering challenges, such as initially not being included in the playing 7 during the KMP YKS 2023 tournament, Prasanna's perseverance and dedication saw him earn his place and make a significant impact. Outside of kabaddi, Prasanna maintains an interest in cricket and actively participates in other sports. Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Commerce, he harbors aspirations of securing employment while continuing to pursue his passion for kabaddi.
