Prasad Abasahab, born on November 26, 2003, in Gangapur, Maharashtra, currently resides in Kamalpur, Maharashtra. Raised in a farming family by his father Abasahab and mother Sangeeta, Prasad found his calling in kabaddi at the age of 15. Inspired by the remarkable talent of Aslam Inamdar, a fellow villager from Kamalpur, Prasad was drawn to the sport and began his journey in kabaddi. As an all-rounder with expertise in left raiding and right corner defense, Prasad demonstrates remarkable versatility on the kabaddi mat. His skills include executing precise back kicks during raids and employing ankle holds with finesse in defense. Under the mentorship of Vasim Inamdar, Aslam's brother and coach, Prasad refines his techniques and hones his abilities at Only Sai Academy in Taklibhan. Prasad holds Aslam Inamdar in high regard, not only for his exceptional raiding skills but also for his humility and demeanor. Representing Ahmednagar District in the KMP Yuva Kabaddi Series 2023 tournament held in Pune marked a significant milestone in Prasad's kabaddi journey. With having completed graduation in BSc in 2022 and a deep-rooted passion for kabaddi, Prasad aspires to compete in the Pro Kabaddi League. His dedication, coupled with his admiration for the sport and his role models, sets him on a path towards realizing his dreams of sporting excellence and achieving success at the highest level in kabaddi.
