In the YKS TN Clubs 2024 tournament, representing Vels University is Arul Nanda Babu, born on January 4, 2002, in Kadainallur, Tenkasi, Tamil Nadu. Although currently residing in Chennai for college, his roots lie in a family where his father, Velusamy, works in building construction, and his mother, Murugeshwari, is involved in farming. Arul has two siblings, a younger brother named Nagaraj and a younger sister named Manjurani. While his siblings don't actively play Kabaddi, Arul has been immersed in the sport from a very young age. Arul's journey in Kabaddi has led him to specialize as a Right Corner Defender, excelling in the Double Thigh Hold technique. Under the guidance of his coach Ravichandran from Az Academy, Arul hones his skills at Vels University. His admiration for Sandeep Narwal, a renowned Pro Kabaddi player known for his exceptional tackling abilities, reflects in Arul's favorite player choice. Having represented the Bengaluru Bulls in the Pro Kabaddi League, Arul's career highlights include his participation at the highest level of Kabaddi competition. Beyond Kabaddi, Arul finds interest in athletics, particularly favoring Javelin Throw. Currently pursuing a BA in Sociology, Arul aspires to not only represent the Indian Kabaddi team but also secure a job through his Kabaddi prowess.
