V Mathavan

In the YKS TN Clubs 2024 tournament, representing AMKC Gobi, we have Mathavan V. Born on May 30, 2001, in Gobi City, Erode, Tamil Nadu, Mathavan currently resides in the same location. His father, Vijayan N, works as a carpenter, while his mother, Sarasu V, is a homemaker. He has a younger brother named Kesavan, who also plays kabaddi. Mathavan works as a Sales Manager and has been playing kabaddi since the age of 14. He is an all-rounder, specializing in both Right and Left Cover positions. His best skill on the kabaddi court is his dash technique. Under the guidance of Ismayin, the kabaddi coach at Periyar Sports AMKC Club, Mathavan has honed his skills for the past five years. He practices at the AMKC Club in Gobi City. Mathavan's favorite kabaddi player is Chandran Ranjit, a professional kabaddi player known for his excellence on the court, particularly hailing from the Postal department and Tamil Nadu. Mathavan has represented Erode District and Bharatiyar University in various tournaments, including the Sub-Junior State in 2019, Junior State from 2021 to 2022, Senior State from 2022 to 2024, and South Zone University in 2023. Apart from kabaddi, Mathavan enjoys playing cricket and volleyball. He is pursuing a BA in Economics and aspires to secure a government job in the future.
